Hi Dan. Thanks for taking the time to put this tribute page up. I knew Ted
thought well of you. I've known Ted since the late 70s and He is the
biggest influence on how I treat music and even other people. I'm absolutely
stunned as I'm sure everyone else is. My wife and I would like to attend the

Dan; Yes, I do want to attend any memorial and/or service if I can. I was
always felt honored to be able to say "Ted Greene is my teacher", although I
never felt worthy of the association. I know I never will. I had not seen
him since my last lesson on October 22 of 2003, and for that, I am truly
sorry. Now, I can only reference "The Master" through his books, my memory,
and my own saved lesson tapes. -

It was a shock to read about Ted Greene's passing. Kind with his words,
generous with his knowledge and awesome with his talent. He will be missed.
Please let me know about memorial services and celebrations of his life and

I lived for years in the same building that Ted lived and taught. When he
had a spare moment we would talk about all genres of music. What I loved
most about him was his genuine kindness. I would like to attend along with a
friend who also knew Ted well. I will miss him greatly. God bless Ted and

I will definitely attend any memorial for Ted Greene: my teacher and friend;
a brilliant and gentle soul, a kind soul, a good hearted and generous soul,a
soul with a depth of knowledge and message worth listening to; a kindred
spirit; a soul who reached out to all; a soul who if you came into his
presence you must consider yourself blessed and fortunate; we who knew him
are amongst the Lucky Ones...........Ted, I will miss you
terribly........may God Bless and Keep you always.........

I am so dispirited as I realize that I will not be able to see Ted or hear
him play again. I am also one of the many that he casually loaned a vintage
guitar to so I could check it out.
Ted not only affected me as a musician, he also influenced me in my job as a
public school. I am certain that all of you will believe me when I state
that any time I became impatient, either with a student's behavior or their
ability to learn, I was always able to find guidance by asking, "What would
Thanks, Ted, for everything.

I thank you for coordinating this site. I am absolutely willing to help out
in putting the memorial together, if you or Ted's family need help. Jon
Kurnick will give you my number. Ted has been a close and dear friend for
over 25 years. I can't tell you how bad this hurts my heart. But I know he
wouldn't like that... please add me to the list with one person. Thank you,
Ted may God hold you and I hope you are already jammin' with Wes, Emily,
Lenny, George and so many more...

When Ted passed, a huge hole opened up in the world of guitar and music that
will never be filled again. I loved the man as my brother. He single
handedly rejuvenated my career and my love of guitar. We will all miss him.
Please let me know of any services or memorials I would be so honored to
